With a warm and inviting atmosphere, Mood Restaurant & Cafe isn't just a place to eat—it's an experience that evokes a sense of community and comfort.
One of the standout features of Mood is its commitment to customer service. As noted by our reviewer Duha Baamir, the staff go above and beyond to ensure guests enjoy their meals. The waiter, Adei, exemplifies this dedication, accommodating requests with a smile. This personal touch makes a significant difference, especially when paired with their delicious offerings.
The menu showcases a delightful array of Mediterranean dishes, each prepared with care and creativity. Diners rave about the Hawawshi, a pastry filled with seasoned ground meat, which has captured the hearts of repeat patrons like Duha. Those seeking something lighter might find solace in the refreshing tabbouleh, vibrant and packed with fresh herbs, receiving high praise for its flavor profile.
Mood Restaurant & Cafe also boasts a unique beverage menu. Tanish Rajput highlights the luscious Nutella Latte and the distinctive pistachio latte, both of which are perfect companions to any meal. The bustling ambiance is further complemented by aromatic brews that elevate the entire dining experience.
For those with a sweet tooth, the baklava cheesecake, as mentioned by Sa Ashw, is a must-try. Its generous portions and balanced sweetness make it a delightful conclusion to any meal. Additionally, the selection of teas, particularly the spiced variant with cardamom and cloves, offers a comforting note that encourages relaxation and conversation.
The culinary journey at Mood doesn't stop at traditional recipes. Shayan Majidy appreciates how the chef puts a modern twist on classic Mediterranean dishes, with highlights like the zucchini pancake and beef shish kabob. While the food may take time to prepare—crafted with the utmost attention to detail—every bite is a testament to the quality and passion behind it.
In essence, Mood Restaurant & Cafe is not just a dining spot; it’s a place where culinary artistry meets heartfelt service. With its delightful dishes and welcoming ambiance, this is a restaurant you won’t want to miss. Whether you're a local or just visiting, make sure to stop by, indulge in their specialties, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere that Mood has to offer.
“ I had a wonderful experience! Adei, the waiter, was incredibly friendly and professional. I arrived after the lunch menu had ended, but I was really craving the Hawawshi, which I had enjoyed during my previous visit. Adei went out of his way to check with the chef, and they kindly agreed to prepare it for me. The Hawawshi was just as delicious as I remembered—definitely a 5/5! I also tried the tabbouleh, and it was one of the most flavorful I've had in Boston. Highly recommend! ”
“ Good quality food! Great Nutella Latte! Amazing hosts! Would definitely recommend trying this place for Mediterranean food. The pistachio latte was good, opinion on this may differ from person to person and how you like your coffee. ”
“ Perfect little Mediterranean nook in North End. A family owned spot with great recipes. I wanted to try Japanese Souffle style pancakes for a while now, and finally found this place. Hands down the best pancakes ever and the owner was also very nice. You can also just work on your laptop and try their lattes, especially the pistachio flavored. They are newly opened, so do give them a try. ”
“ The food is incredible, modern twists on classic Mediterranean dishes. Highly recommend the zucchini pancake and beef shish kabob. The food takes a long time to prepare because it’s made to order, but it’s worth the wait ”
“ I wish I knew this place sooner, it is a must try! Baklava cheescake is so good and comes in a big portion, not too sweet. They serve amazing tea with cardamom cloves and I couldn't tell the rest of the flavors, but you can ask for tea and it will be served in a kettle enough for 2 people. Service and music were amazing as well and the waitress was so friendly. Pleace is clean and neat. I like the vibes and will definitely go back ”
“ We ordered the hummus, fried zucchini, shawarma, salad, kebab, and I think the Hawawshi Soujouk. Everything was flavorful and delish. The hummus and zucchini was pretty amazing! Seemed very authentic. So glad we found it! It’s a gem of a Mediterranean restaurant ”
“ Absolutely delicious experience and food!! Fatima and her husband own the place, and Fatima kindly served us and explained that everything is done in house with much love! My highlights were the Pistachio Latte (pistachio made in house) and the eggs Benedict with salmon. Both delicious and great atmosphere - highly recommend! ”
“ If you haven’t yet tried this place, you’re really missing out. This is the best, freshly made, and most authentic Mediterranean restaurant in Boston!! The food quality is 5 star, Michelin worthy. Super fresh with an explosion of flavors. The appetizers are incredible, especially the fried halloumi and Greek fries. I had the pistachio latte which is made with real pistachio paste and it’s sooo delicious. Also, their in house made baklava cheesecake is to die for. Honestly couldn’t decide which food item was better than the other. Can’t wait to eat here again when I’m in Boston ”
